1. What are the prerequisites?

It’s essential to have basic computer skills and be comfortable operating a computer. If you’re not confident in these areas, I recommend completing a basic computer course before joining this workshop to ensure you get the most out of it.

 

2. What kind of support will I receive during the workshop?

You’ll have access to a private group chat where you can ask questions and receive support.

 

3. What if I miss a lesson?

Lessons are recorded, so you’ll have access to the materials to review on your own and catch up. You’ll have access to all lessons until 31 January 2025 to catch up or revise as needed.

 

4. When can I start learning?

The workshop runs from 6–24 January 2025. You’ll begin learning as soon as the workshop starts.

 

5. Do I need any prior experience in design or woodworking?

No prior experience is necessary. This workshop is designed specifically for beginners, providing step-by-step guidance. Experienced participants will also benefit from design templates and cutting list tools to streamline their process.

 

6. How is the course structured?

The course includes 18 step-by-step lessons, each lasting about an hour (some shorter, some longer). These lessons cover both theory and practical design skills, helping you confidently design from scratch and effectively use the provided design templates.

 

7. Do I need to buy any software for the workshop?

No, all necessary software is included with the workshop, so you won’t need to purchase anything extra.

 

8. How long will I have access to the course material?

You’ll have access to the lessons until 31 January 2025.

 

9. Can I design my own custom pieces and projects on the software?

Yes! You’ll learn how to design custom cupboards and kitchen layouts.

 

10. Can I resize the kitchen and cupboard templates provided in the course?

Yes! All templates are fully customisable, allowing you to resize and edit components to suit your specific project needs. Cutting lists will adjust automatically.

 

11. What projects will we work on during the workshop?

You’ll work on practical projects, including designing cupboards, creating kitchen layouts, and completing cutting lists. Projects will progress from simple to advanced as your skills develop.

 

12. Can I follow the course on my phone or tablet?

You can view theory lessons on a phone or tablet, but you’ll need a computer to complete the design work using the included software.

 

13. What tools or materials will I need for the workshop?

You’ll need a computer with internet access to complete the workshop.

 

14. Will I receive a certificate after completing the workshop?

Yes! You’ll receive a certificate of completion once you finish all the lessons.
