Online Cupboard & Kitchen Installation Course
FOUNDING MEMBER LAUNCH
Limited spots. Early access. Founding Members price.
Join me on this journey as I build this online installation course step by step.
As a Founding Member, you’ll get early access to the course, the lessons and resources already available, and a private group where you can ask questions, share your own projects, give feedback, and suggest topics you would find helpful.
In April and May 2025, I had the opportunity to install four cottage kitchens and built-in cupboards just outside Somerset West. The main reason I took this project on was to film the process and use the footage to build this online installation course one day. I also set myself a challenge alongside it: to see whether I could manage the whole project completely solo. So I did, every step of the installations, on my own.
Just before I started, my workshop at the previous location was broken into. Most of my camera gear, built up over three years, was taken, along with my editing PC and the hard drives that had years of footage on them. Luckily my wife's old camera (which I started out with many years ago) wasn't there that evening, and I still had my Note 10 phone, so I was still able to film the project and get some good footage. It's just not on the level it could have been.
Since then, I've been able to rebuild my gear, in large part thanks to the Gelmar partnership, which I'm genuinely grateful for. I don't take on installation projects for clients anymore (my focus these days is BB Craft School), but I do have the opportunity to take on another kitchen and built-in cupboard installation, this time without any pressure to rush it. That matters, because taking my time is the only way I can film each step properly and in detail.
For these upcoming installations, I'll be using my new gear, the latest of which is a new DJI Nano camera I'll be able to mount on my hat or chest, so in some situations you'll see exactly what I'm seeing as I work. That kind of footage will make a real difference for the new lessons.
These are basic installation projects: melamine cupboards and HPL worktops, the kind that are well suited for beginners. This won't be a course about fancy, expert-level showpieces (that said, Founding Members will be able to request lessons in the private group, so we might get into some more interesting things). It'll be about getting the fundamentals right and doing them properly so you can take on your own kitchen or cupboard projects with a lot more confidence.
That is why I’m opening this as an early-access Founding Member launch. You’ll be able to start with the foundation lessons, the 2025 four-cottage installation project, and the available resources, while I continue adding the new installation lessons over the coming months.
I would love to have you follow along as the course grows.

A Founding Members price, half of what the full price will be once the course is finished later this year.

What the course will cover:
We'll start with the foundation:
-
What it actually takes to see a project through from start to finish: all the steps, in the right sequence.
-
Project costing and data organisation using templates, whether you're budgeting a DIY build or pricing a job for a client.
-
The tools you'll need and what each one is for, plus the basics of melamine cupboard construction, including the carcass, drawers, and how it all goes together.
-
Real installation lessons from the 2025 cottage projects, filmed across four cottages, each with its own kitchen and built-in cupboards. These lessons will cover the key stages of a real installation, from planning and preparation through to fitting, fixing, adjusting and finishing.
-
A resource library to work from, with downloadable templates from day one (designs, cutting lists, costing sheets, planning PDFs, and checklists), and more added as the course grows.
Then, over the coming months:
-
Step-by-step video lessons on a new kitchen installation, filmed as I build it.
-
Step-by-step video lessons on a new sliding-door built-in cupboard with drawers, filmed as I install it.
-
Step-by-step lessons on fitting a wider variety of Gelmar hardware, including undermount drawer runners, sliding door systems, and other installation components.
-
More lessons and resources will be added over time, including extra explanations, practical examples, and answers to common installation questions.

How the course will work:
-
The course will be hosted on the BB Craft School online platform, where you can log in and work through the lessons in your own time.
-
Lessons will be pre-recorded, so you do not have to attend live sessions or be available at specific times.
-
From there, I’ll add the new kitchen and built-in cupboard installation lessons as I film, edit and upload them during the upcoming projects.
-
The course will include pre-recorded video lessons, project footage, explanations, and downloadable support materials.
-
Some lessons will include multiple camera angles and point-of-view footage, so you can see the installation steps more clearly from my perspective.

An honest note:
This course is being launched as an early-access Founding Member version. It is not the complete, polished final course yet.
When you join, the foundation section will already be available, including the starting lessons, resources, and the 2025 four-cottage installation project footage.
Because I’ll be filming around my BB Craft School teaching schedule, the new content will take time. I do not want to rush it. My goal is to film each step properly, explain the process clearly, and build the course into a strong installation training resource.
You have two options:
1. You can wait for the completed version later this year, at the final course price.
2. Or you can join now as a Founding Member, get early access at the lower launch price, start with what is already available, and follow along as the rest of the course is built.
If that sounds good to you, I’d love to have you on this journey with me.
