We start with the foundations: the same cupboard-style side table students build in my three-day in-person DIY Kitchen & Cupboard Installation course (R7,200), explained in more detail, with lessons you can rewatch as often as you need. Then you plan and design your own project, and learn from real installations filmed on site. HOW THE COURSE RUNS 📌 Section 1: Side Table Materials, Hardware and Tools. The parts of a cupboard, the three basic materials (melamine, Masonite and HPL), ordering your boards, and the hardware and tools you need. 📌 Section 2: Side Table Design. Learn SketchUp, design the side table, and learn how cutting lists work. 📌 Section 3: The Side Table Build. Build it with me, step by step, in the same order we work on a real site. 📌 Section 4: Plan and Design Your Project. Measure up, draw your floor plan, choose your hardware and materials, design it in SketchUp, and create your cutting and hardware list. Includes design templates and pre-filled cutting lists. 📌 Sections 5 and 6: Real Installations. Built-in cupboards and kitchens installed across four cottages, with four cupboard designs and four kitchen designs to download. 📌 Bonus: Build a 4-Drawer Tallboy. An optional melamine furniture build. 📌 Advanced hardware: lessons on sliding doors, undermount runners, push-to-open and soft-close will be added to the sections they belong to.
